Britax Boulevard Versus Britax Pavilion
“What is the difference between the Britax Pavilion G3 and the Britax Boulevard?”
If you’re confused about the differences between the Pavilion and other Britax G3 car seats, consider yourself in good company! Britax made some name changed which caused the confusion, but it’s really all very simple, take a look at this chart:
|Name of Car Seat PRE-Summer 2012:||Name of New, G3 Car Seat POST-Summer 2012:
|Britax Boulevard 70||Britax Boulevard 70 G3
|Britax Boulevard 70 CS (Click 'n Safe)||Britax Pavilion G3
As we at MommiesLike have explained here, in our opinion the Click ‘n Safe feature found on the Pavilion is not necessarily worth the extra money.
If you think that a caregiver such as a grandparent, who is unfamiliar with basic car seat safety, may travel with your baby, then the CS feature of the Pavilion may be a good idea.
Otherwise, it’s best for you to make sure visually that your child’s straps are sufficiently tight each time that you buckle her into her car seat!
In the photo on the right, you can see that there is pinchable slack on the doll’s straps, which means they are unsafe. The harness straps must always be tight enough that they cannot be pinched.
You can view the Click ‘n Safe feature in action and hear it click when the harness straps are being tightened in the this video of the Pavilion below:
