Rear Facing Car Seat Laws
Children are over 5 times safer riding rear-facing than forward-facing.
Some parents think that children SHOULD be turned from rear-facing to forward-facing at the age of one year; however that is ONLY the MINIMUM age that a child can legally ride facing forwards. It is much safer to keep your toddlers riding rear facing for as long as possible.
Many convertible car seats allow for children to ride rear-facing until they are 35 or 40 lbs.
